THE SONATA FORM

As a follow up to my Summit debut recording AMERICAN VOICES, I chose the Sonata Form as the central theme for Volume II.  Here are three substantial works composed for trombone and piano. I commissioned the Stephenson Sonata in 2004 and was excited to release this premiere recording. My transcription of Bernstein's Sonata for Clarinet and Piano was an irresistible inclusion to this project.
